Complete renovation of a beautiful 70 m² duplex by the Erdre River, interior architecture.
Two Parisians in their thirties, ready to start a new life in Nantes, entrusted us with the renovation of their future apartment located by the Erdre River. This 70 m² duplex, though charming on paper, was dark, aging, and had a poor energy efficiency rating. Their wish? To transform this dated space into a bright, cozy, and functional home with high-performance thermal and acoustic insulation and as much storage as possible.
Once on-site, after conducting a thorough assessment, we carried out detailed studies to identify necessary improvements and develop a project that perfectly aligned with the clients’ expectations. We then designed custom plans and highly realistic 3D renderings, allowing the owners to visualize every detail of their future interior.
The construction process, closely monitored in collaboration with our artisans, focused on several key areas: selecting high-quality materials, achieving optimal thermal and acoustic insulation, and completely reorganizing the spaces. We opened up the rooms to maximize natural light and reimagined every corner to unlock the apartment’s full potential. The spaces were visually expanded, and the new interior flow offers a sense of openness and fluidity.
Design was also a cornerstone of the project. Beyond improving the apartment’s structure, we redecorated each room with contemporary and elegant materials. Special attention was given to the integration of custom storage solutions, ensuring a space that is both functional and beautiful. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create an atmosphere that is both modern and warm, perfectly aligned with our clients’ vision.
The result is a stunning transformation: the apartment has gone from dark to bright, with optimized spaces, enhanced insulation, and a carefully curated decorative style. This once gloomy and impractical duplex is now a cozy haven, ready to welcome its new residents into a living space that is both comfortable and efficient.
