SODIPA

Interior Architecture for a Grocery and Spirits Showroom

In 2018, I was tasked with the complete renovation of the SODIPA showroom in Guadeloupe, a 300 m² space designed to accommodate both professionals and individuals. This prestigious venue was intended to showcase renowned brands such as Lindt, Kusmi Tea, Nespresso, as well as fine wines.

The main challenge of this project lay in managing the numerous massive columns present in the space. To soften their presence and seamlessly integrate these structural elements, I opted for the creation of sinusoidal shapes and the use of curved woodwork, thus avoiding the rigid look of typical supermarket gondolas.

Special attention was given to the visual and functional optimization of the space, with the design of wooden slats that, in addition to concealing technical elements such as the air conditioning, created a strong visual impact while improving sound insulation. These design elements gave the store a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.

I also designed custom furniture, including an ergonomic Corian counter, combining aesthetics and functionality to ease the staff’s work. One of the highlights of the project was the creation of a transparent refrigerated wine cellar, capable of displaying over 1,500 bottles of wine. Not only does this cellar ensure perfect product preservation, but it also serves as a natural divider between spaces while creating a true light well.

Every detail of the layout was carefully considered, with custom niches tailored to the size, shape, and color of the products, highlighting the displayed brands and enhancing the customer experience in an environment that is both luxurious and welcoming.
