Creating a Kitchen and Dining Area in Interior Architecture

Destination La Chapelle-sur-Erdre, in a spacious architect-designed house renovated in stages. More than just opening the kitchen to the living area, Marie Arara focused here on creating a harmonious visual ensemble playing with lights and transparency effects.

Once the new kitchen space was defined – notably by removing a load-bearing wall to let in light – the kitchen designed by Marie was gently placed on an elegant light-colored tile floor. The workshop-style glass partition beautifully highlights the custom-made black furniture.

As if to echo this new kitchen of pure elegance, the old living room wall was also revised and corrected: its former unsightly recesses were replaced by a smooth wall panel concealing an invisible door. The result: a beautiful visual continuity from the kitchen to the living space.
